Derek and Colin, the founders of our garage door company, initially began their careers at P C Hendersons. After gaining extensive industry knowledge, they decided to establish a garage door business they could truly take pride in. In the 1970s, Bel-Ingle, as a pioneer, became one of the first companies in Essex and London to offer the up-and-over range of garage doors. Consequently, these doors replaced the older, timber side-hinged styles that had been popular. Furthermore, since that time, Bel-Ingle has consistently expanded its range of doors, both supplied and fitted, every year. Today, Bel-Ingle is renowned for offering a wide selection of garage doors, in a variety of styles, colours, and finishes, throughout Essex and London.
Glenn Southgate began working as an apprentice for Colin in Essex in 1999, at the age of 21. Just two years later, Colin felt confident that his garage door company’s reputation was in good hands. At that point, he decided to retire, and Glenn purchased the company, making it his own.
